The diference between an online access control and a stand alone access control is that this last device doesn't require network or power supply. This allows a quick installation in places where an online system can not be placed like inside doors or lockers.

The stand alone systems are fed by batteries and the information required to validate a card resides encripted inside the card itself, so no network is required.

In those projects where is required an extra control of the accesses movements, DORLET provides his stand alone devices with DOC technology. DOC allows to stablish a virtual network between the stand alone devices and the access control server to share all information about the acceses, rights, status, alarms, etc... So initially something that had not network becomes networked. Know more about DOC technology.
